Indonesia Rolls Out Visa-Free Entry for Turkish, Brazilian Nationals

(MENAFN) Indonesia has officially rolled out a visa-free entry program for Turkish citizens, effective Thursday, marking a significant milestone in the country's immigration policy. This move, as reported by media, also extends to Brazilian citizens.

Under this new policy, both Turkish and Brazilian nationals can visit Indonesia for up to 30 days without the need for a visa. However, the visit cannot be extended or converted into any other type of residency permit.

The visa waiver applies to those traveling for tourism, business purposes, or medical treatment.

The announcement comes amid growing diplomatic ties between Indonesia and Turkey. Earlier this year, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Indonesia, where he and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto co-chaired the inaugural High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.

The summit, held in February in Bogor, led to the signing of 13 major agreements, spanning sectors such as trade, defense, media, education, and health.
